Suzuki is working on the development of next generation A-star.Maruti Suzuki cannot make the A-star a success in India because of the Lack of Interior space.International Market Suzuki A-star/Alto is a big success.It is an entry level product for most of the customers.Next generation Suzuki A-star will be bigger and wider than the current A-star.Suzuki is going to adopt tall boy design for A-star so they can achieve more interior space.Two Important aspects Suzuki is focusing is the interior space and boot space.
Suzuki will increase the length upto 150mm from the current 3500mm to 3650 mm.Height will be around 1550mm and wheel base will be increased to extract more interior space.Fit and finish of the interior will be improved.Ride and handling of A-star was always best in class.Suzuki will also try to improve on ride and handling also.Engine will get update to give more performance and efficiency.Along the 1 L K series engine Suzuki is working on a small entry level diesel engine.Suzuki is also working on A-star based entry level sedan which is below 4 meters in length.We can expect slight increase in price tag for A-star.Suzuki will launch the next generation A-star in 2014.
