Toyota is working on a new C segment car which will be based on the Etios.Toyota now has gap between Etios and corolla.Toyota want that gap to be filled.C segment now has so many strong contenders.Toyota doesn’t want another Etios like car.Toyota want the designers to develop much more sportier car.c segment now want Luxury and style.
Recently launched Hyundai Verna was a big hit for the styling,space and features.Toyota hasn’t given any name for the new model.Toyota has shown Dear Qin Concept in the Beijing Motor show.Design will be inspired from this concept.
Etios based C segment car will be 4.3 M in Length,1.48 M in height and 1.73 M in width.So the new sedan longer,wider and shorter.But the wheelbase will be the same from the Etios 2.55 M.
Another important thing Toyota us focusing is on the Quality,fit and finish.Etios twins lack both.New car will create a benchmark in standard on the Quality and fit and finish of the interiors.
New car get slightly more power full spec of the Etios engines.This will help Toyota to save money.Toyota is also developing a Hatch back based on the new car.Which will be positioned above Etios Liva.Toyota is expected to launch the New car in 2014.
