Mahindra is working on a sub 4 meter verito.This will help Mahindra to get 10 % excise duty for cars which are under 4 meters in Length.Tata has already done it once for the Indigo.Sub 4 meter Verito will have the same design of the facelifted Verito.But Mahindra will make small changes for the front end to get a different look for the smaller verito.Mahindra will reduce the boot length to make verito below 4 meters.So expect a smaller boot like those Indigo CS and New Swift Dzire.
The wheel base will be same.So the interior space is not compromised which is one of the big USP of Verito.Mahindra will redesign the rear end.Tail lights and bumpers will be different.Sub 4 meter will be powered by the same engines that power the verito.There will be option of both petrol and diesel.We can expect more sales from the frugal 1.5 L diesel powered verito.We can expect a price of reduction of around 20,000 RS for the 4 meter verito.Mahindra officially launches the sub 4 meter verito on March 2013.
