Toyota launched facelifted Etios and Etios Liva

Toyota launched the common man cars Etios in December 2010 and the Etios Liva in June 2011.Toyota expected both the Etios twins to be a big Success.But they never caught the market.Lack of Exterior design and poor quality interiors are the reason for the lack of numbers. Now, Toyota comes with the facelifted version of  Etios and Etios Liva at Rs. 5.45 lakh and Rs 4.46 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The company also announced that they will launch the Etios Liva TRD Sportivo as a regular variant in its line up and has priced it at Rs 6.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The limited edition has been designed by Toyota Racing Development team.



The new Etios and Etios Liva has been designed to give it a bold and trendy appearance. The facelifted sedan and hatchback also got some cosmetic changes both in the  interior and the exterior.The interior now has USB connectivity, AUX-in as well as remote control function and and a 2-din music system with Bluetooth. Both the Etios and the Liva are being offered in a new shade named ‘Classic Grey’.  The driver’s seat gets height adjustment while the centrally mounted instrument panel has been fitted with a blue backlight. The exterior of both cars also got some changes with refreshed grille that has been given a chrome finish.  The OVRMs now get integrated indicators and the rear lights has also been redesigned.
The engine line up is the same as earlier. The Liva TRD Sportivo will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 90bhp. Regular line up 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 80bhp and 104Nm of torque and the 1.4-litre diesel engine produces 68bhp and 170Nm of torque.  Both mills have been mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
